Finding #000
If you’re here, welcome!
Whether you found me through ‘Among the Wildflowers’ Instagram, a podcast episode, or simply wandered onto this little flower field of the internet, I’m really glad you’re here.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by one question:
Why?
Why do we fall into the same relationship patterns?
Why do we push away the things we want most?
Why do two people experience the same event so differently?
Why do our words have the power to heal or to wound?
Why does faith sometimes feel incredibly close, and other times incredibly distant?
That curiosity has shaped almost every chapter of my life for as long as I can remember. I remember people watching at the tender age of 5 and just imagining what each person was like. It has now led me down the Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole where I study communication, psychology, education, and faith. It has taken me through classrooms, marketing teams, research papers, difficult conversations, moments of healing, and seasons where I had more questions than answers.
While walking on this trail, I finally had my ‘eureka!’ moment.
The goal was never to collect enough answers to feel certain.
The goal was to actually become someone who isn’t afraid to ask better questions.
That’s what The Wildflower Trail is about.
It’s my home base where I share everything I found on this journey. This isn’t a place where I’ll pretend to have life figured out. It’s a place where we’ll slow down long enough to explore what shapes us, challenge what we’ve always believed, and grow through honest conversations rooted in curiosity, research, personal experience, and faith.
You’ll notice I don’t call these posts “blogs.”
Why? Because using normal terms makes my internal whimsey suffer and I’ve spent too long dimming my light.
So for the sake of whimsey, I’ll call them Findings.
A finding isn’t a final answer. It leaves room for eternal evolvement
It’s a discovery, if you will.
Sometimes it’ll come from a research study.
Sometimes it’ll come from Scripture.
Sometimes it’ll come from an unexpected conversation, a difficult season, or a question I can’t stop thinking about (blame the ADHD).
Each Finding is simply one piece of a much larger picture.
Some will challenge your thinking.
Some will encourage you.
Some might leave you with more questions than when you arrived.
And I think that’s okay. Welcome to my world 😉
Growth doesn’t actually happen when we’re spoon-fed all of the answers. More often, it begins when we’re willing to stay curious long enough to see ourselves—and others—with greater understanding.
My hope is that these Findings help you do exactly that.
Whether you’re trying to understand your relationships, strengthen your faith, communicate more intentionally, navigate personal growth, or simply make sense of your own story, I hope you find something here that reminds you you’re not walking this trail alone.
Thank you for being here at the very beginning.
I’ll consider this as page 1 of my diary with you all.
I’m looking forward to discovering what we’ll find together.
Until next time,
Yosi
Reflection
Before you continue along the trail, I’d love for you to sit with one question:
What question about yourself or your life are you most hoping to answer right now?
Love Letter
“Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
